Skate Swap Sunday Oct 11

Skate Swap- this Sunday 10/11 from 3:15-4:45!!!
What is it? A chance to sell your outgrown skates or other skate stuff to other club members.
How it works...
Sellers: Bring in your CLEARLY labeled items with your name and price for each item. Make sure you return before the end of the swap to collect money and any unsold items. Also, bring a check to donate 10% of the proceeds from items sold to the FFSC's scholarship fund.
Buyers: Please bring cash or check to pay for items- please note- we usually can't make change so be prepared for that.

The Podium

The reason Ice in the Pines always runs so well is that our club stands behind it and volunteers to help. Here's a few photos from behind the scenes. Don't forget that you can still buy professional HD videos from Hurd Video, and action and awards photos from Cynthia Slawter Photography.

Summer Ice Ends

The last day for the Thursday 4:15 - 5:15 pm session is July 30, and the last day for the Monday 4;15 - 5:15 session is August 17. After that we'll be on the winter schedule- see Club Ice.

Mandatory Safety Meetings

We will hold three safety meetings, on,

July 26th at 3:00
September 9th at 5:00
September 13th at 3:00

All Skaters, and parents of skaters under 16, MUST attend ONE of these meetings. They typically last about 30 minutes. This is also a good chance for new members to ask any questions they may have.

Stroking and Introductory Dance Classes on Saturdays in June and July

Courtney and Eric, with assistance from other coaches, will hold group stroking and dance classes on Saturdays starting June 20 and running through July. This is a great opportunity to pump up the power and style in your skating in a fun group setting! For information, see Stroking and Introductory Dance Classes.

FFSC Learn to Skate Class

Ice skating is a blast and it's even more fun when you learn from our experienced instructors and professional coaches! All ages and abilities are welcome. Yes, that includes you, parents! Don't just watch your kids. Get on the ice and have fun yourself! We take you from where you are to wherever you want to go- on the ice, that is! For all the details, see our Learn to Skate page.

Club Ice Changes in June

Due to hockey camps, our ice times during June 7-13 are (this includes all ice times, normal as well as changed times):

Sunday: 2:00-4:45 pm (normal time)
Monday: 6:00-7:00 am and 4:30-5:30 pm
Tuesday: 6:00-7:00 pm
Wednesday: No club ice
Thursday: 6:00-7:00 am and 4:30-6:30 pm
Friday: 4:30-5:15 pm
Saturday: No club ice

Note: The city calendar has some of these times wrong.
