Ice in the Pines 2020 is Canceled

After reviewing the USFSA guidelines for safely holding competitions, the Board has decided that we can't safely hold the competition this year. See you next year!

Ice in the Pines 2021

August 20-22, 2021

Jay Lively Ice Arena, Flagstaff, Arizona

Ice in the Pines is a Compete USA and Non-Qualifying competition sanctioned by US Figure Skating

We are expanding into a three-day format, with the competition held Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. We're doing this so that we can end by 3 pm on Sunday to give everyone time to get home. We'll schedule practice ice before and after the competition on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday morning.

Thank you, skaters, parents, coaches, vendors, volunteers, and the FFSC Local Organizing Committee, for making our 10th annual Ice in the Pines the largest and best yet! Remember, action and awards photos, and video can still be ordered from our vendors, below.

New for 2019

All program music must be uploaded at the time of registration. Program music CD's will not be accepted at the check-in desk. If you want your music played during practice ice, you must bring a standard CD and turn it into the music monitor when you take the ice.

Schedule is Published

All skaters can check their schedule at Ice in the Pines 2019.

Practice Ice

Practice ice will be offered Friday evening, August 17, after 5:00 pm, Saturday morning and evening, and Sunday morning, as the schedule permits. Morning practices go quickly, so we strongly advise skaters to pay for and reserve practice ice when registering for the event. Competitors who reserve and pay for practice ice at sign up have first choice of practice ice sessions after the schedule is published, and will be notified by email that practice ice selection is open. You will be able to select your practice ice sessions on EntryEeze.

After the selection period ends for reserved ice, all competitors may select and pay for practice ice on EntryEeze. It's first-come, first served! Any remaining practice ice will be available for purchase during the competition. This year, we will able to accept credit cards as well as cash and checks.

Music will be played during all practices as time permits. Skaters must turn in their music to the music monitor on taking the ice. Music will not be accepted from anyone other than the skater at the rinkside music box door. There will be a five minute warm-up, then music will be played once in the order that it was received. Not all music can be played during full sessions.
